Compactos con carrocerías distintas (X): Honda Civic 2000

En 2000 salió a la venta la séptima generación del Honda Civic.
Ya vimos las diferentes carrocerías de la sexta generación. En la séptima, las carrocerías disponibles son las típicas sedán, coupé, 3 puertas y 5 puertas.

Esta vez el coupé y el sedán tienen un diseño parecido, siendo el de 3 y el 5 puertas los que se alejan estéticamente.
Los modelos hatchback de 3 y 5 puertas son muy parecidos, tanto que da la sensación que la única diferencia entre ambas carrocerías es el número de puertas laterales. Entonces, ¿qué hacen en esta serie si las dos carrocerías son iguales?

Pues es que en realidad no son iguales.

El 3 puertas es un hatchback que mide 4,14 metros de largo y 1,44 de alto. Su distancia entre ejes es de 2,57 metros. Su maletero cubica 325 litros.

El 5 puertas, por su parte, tiene una silueta muy parecida a la del 3 puertas, pero mide 4,28 de largo (14 centímetros más) y 1,495 de alto (casi metro y medio). Además, su distancia entre ejes es de 2,68 metros.
El 5 puertas era casi un monovolumen. En su época fue alabado por su espacio interior, superior al de una berlina más grande. Además, al no disponer de túnel central, los pasajeros de atrás van muy cómodos.
Sin embargo, a cambio de esta amplitud, el maletero se quedaba un poco pequeño, con 370 litros.

Este Civic dejó de venderse en 2005, cuando apareció la octava generación. Sí, los Honda Civic duran pocos años en el mercado.

Tanto dance, tanto dance... hoy en vez de eso vamos a poner un tema antiguo de Clawfinger, del año 95, cuando yo era joven... Ay, que tiempos. Según la wikipedia, Clawfinger es un grupo de "metal rap", a saber lo que significa eso. La verdad que un poco "duros" sí que son.

Ventas de coches, febrero 2011

Las ventas en enero y febrero han sido muy bajas... han bajado mucho respecto a 2010, pero, increíblemente, en febrero están un poquito por encima que en 2009. ¿Qué nos deparará marzo? ¿Volverán a subir las ventas respecto a 2009? Lo que es seguro es que las ventas serán inferiores a las de 2010, por menos hasta julio.
